Producer price indices increased in January

In January compared to December 2007 the producer price index was mainly influenced by the increase in prices in the energy supply and in the manufacture of food and beverages.

In January 2008 the percentage change in the export price index was 1.1% compared to December 2007 and 6.7% compared to January 2007.

In January compared to December 2007 the export price index was mainly influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of food and beverages and in the manufacture of building materials.

In January 2008 the percentage change in the import price index was 0.5% compared to December 2007 and 5.6% compared to January 2007.

In January compared to December 2007 the import price index was mainly influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of food and beverages and in the manufacture of fabricated metal products.
