The publication consists of the hard copy and the CD-ROM. The statistical publication provides essential annual statistics on socio-economic life, population and environment. The emphasis has been laid on the year 2007, which has been discussed in comparison with the previous years. Socio-economic overview and thematic maps are provided at the beginning of the publication. A separate chapter presents comparable statistics mainly on European countries. At the end of the yearbook the glossary of statistical terms and definitions as well as the index has been included.The CD-ROM presents longer time series of statistical indicators compared to the printed publication. The CD-ROM also offers statistics on regions (counties, rural municipalities). The data are presented as XML-, HTML-, PC AXIS- and Excel format. The software PC-AXIS enables to make new tables on the basis of the tables of the database, to operate with the data within the table and between the tables, to make graphs and thematic maps. The CD-ROM also includes the work report of Statistics Estonia for 2007 and a file of the printed matter in pdf format.Addressed to all persons interested in statistics.
