According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2008 the percentage change in the producer price index was 0.8% compared to September and 6.3% compared to October of the previous year.
In October compared to the previous month the producer price index was mainly influenced by the increase in prices in the energy supply and in the mining. Compared to October of the previous year the prices increased most in energy supply.

In October 2008 the percentage change in the export price index was -0.7% compared to September and 2.4% compared to October of the previous year.
In October compared to the previous month the export price index was mainly influenced by the decrease in prices in forestry, in the manufacture of textiles and textile products, in the manufacture of metals and in the manufacture of electrical machinery and equipment and by the increase in prices in the extraction of peat, in the manufacture of wood and wood products and in the manufacture of building materials.
In October 2008 the percentage change in the import price index was -0.4% compared to September and 7.5% compared to October of the previous year.
In October compared to the previous month the import price index was mainly influenced by the decrease in prices of mineral fuels, metals and fabricated metal products and chemical products and by the increase in prices of agricultural products, paper and paper products and electrical machinery and equipment.
