In November compared to the previous month the producer price index was mainly influenced by the increase in prices in the energy supply and by the decrease in prices in the mining and in the manufacture of metals and fabricated metal products. Compared to November of the previous year the prices increased most in energy supply.

In November 2008 the percentage change in the export price index was -0.8% compared to October and 2.0% compared
to November of the previous year.
In November compared to the previous month the export price index was mainly influenced by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, in the manufacture of metals and metal products and in the manufacture of building materials.
In November 2008 the percentage change in the import price index was –4.5% compared to October and 2.1% compared
to November of the previous year.
In November compared to the previous month the import price index was mainly influenced by the decrease in prices of mineral fuels and chemical products and by the increase in prices of electrical machinery and equipment.
