The conference of Estonian Statistical Society focuses on quality

Quality management has been relevant topic for enterprises as well as the government institutions during recent years. Measuring of the quality by means of statistics is being more and more used in different organisations. The aim of the conference is to promote the discussion about the quality management and to introduce the importance and influence of high-quality statistics in making reasonable decisions.

The conference will be opened with the presentation by Ms Urve Palo, Minister of Population and Ethnic Affairs. During two days the agenda comprises the presentations about the experiences on quality management in enterprises and in the public sector. The different methodologies of the quality management, the function of statistics in measuring the quality as well as the trends of promoting the quality management will be introduced. Besides the Estonian experts two guests from Finland will be performing: Mr Kari Djerf from Statistics Finland and Mr Juhani Anttila (Finland International Academician for Quality).

Conference’s venue is Estonian National Library. Participation is free of charge.
