Module 3

Module 3 “How are official statistics produced?” — intended for persons with a more profound interest in the statistical system (journalists, students/pupils, officials, analysts, etc).

Expected result: Users of statistics are familiar with the official statistics production principles and with the statistical system, data sources, statistical products and services.

Content: Purpose, principles and quality indicators of official statistics. What are official statistical surveys, what are they needed for and how are they organized? Which data sources are used for producing official statistics? In what way are data collected from economic units and individuals? Which are the statistical products and services offered by Statistics Estonia?
