Module 1

Module 1 ”How to find and use statistics” (the ABC for users of statistics) — intended for all persons interested in statistics (journalists, students, officials, entrepreneurs, etc.).

Expected result: Users of statistics are familiar with the products and services of Statistics Estonia and are individually capable of finding necessary information on the website, in the databases and statistical publications.

Content: Short review of the principles of official statistical system. Statistical products and services. Website as an essential source of new and historical data-related information. Classification of statistical subject areas (environment, economy, population, social life). Statistical publications. News releases. Introduction to and instruction in the use of statistical databases.
The study package can be tailored to the user-oriented subject areas.
