Producer price indices in December

In December compared to the previous month the producer price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of food products and by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of building materials. Compared to December 2008 the prices increased most in mining.

In December 2009 the export price index increased 0.5% compared to November 2009 and decreased 2.6% compared to December 2008.

In December compared to the previous month, the export price index was more than average influenced by the increase in prices in the manufacture of food products and beverages and metals and by the decrease in prices in the manufacture of leather products.

In December 2009 the import price index decreased 0.1% compared to November 2009 and increased 1.5% compared to December 2008.

In December compared to the previous month, the import price index was more than average influenced by the decrease in prices of plastic and rubber products and mineral fuels, and by the increase in prices of metal products and agricultural products.
