Statistics Estonia extends the e-census by 24 hours

Statistics Estonia lengthens the opportunity to participate in the e-census by 24 hours due to a big interest of the population in the e-census. People can participate online in the Population Census until 23:59 on 1 February.

“The last days have shown that some of the people have left participation in the e-census for the last moment. In order everyone would be able to participate in the census in the most suitable way for him/her, we lengthen the e-census by 24 hours,” said Mr Priit Potisepp, Director General of Statistics Estonia.

If the questionnaires of the e-census have previously left uncompleted, Statistics Estonia asks to complete and confirm the questionnaires now. “I am sincerely grateful to all people of Estonia who have already contributed to the success of the Population Census,” Mr Potisepp added.

The e-census questionnaires can be completed on the census website www.REL2011.ee until 23:59 on 1 February. All permanent residents of Estonia aged 15 and above can complete the census questionnaires themselves. The questionnaires on children will be completed by their parents or guardians.

Should respondents have any questions about completing the census online, they can contact customer support by email at klienditugi at stat dot ee or by phone at +372 625 9100. The working hours of the customer support are 08:00 to 22:00 every day.

As of 17:00 today, on 31 January, the online Personal Questionnaires had been completed on 762 256 persons, which is 58% of the estimated population of Estonia. In percentage terms, participation rates are the highest in Tartu county (65%), in Harju county (65%), in Tallinn (63%) and in Rapla county (58%).
