This is an analytical publication discussing regional development in Estonia. It provides an overview of the changes in population, environment, social life and economy, focusing on the level of counties and local government units. The publication analyses the achievement of the targets set in the Regional Development Strategy of Estonia and offers an in-depth overview of a specific region in Estonia. The articles are illustrated with numerous diagrams and thematic maps. The interpretation of the data is facilitated by the inclusion of definitions of the main indicators and methodological explanations.
