Every year on 1 October, the release times of the Statistical Database, news releases, main indicators by IMF SDDS and publications for the following year are announced in the release calendar (in case of publications – the release month).

Statistics Estonia performs all statistical activities according to an international model (Generic Statistical Business Process Model – GSBPM). According to the GSBPM, the final phase of statistical activities is overall evaluation using information gathered in each phase or sub-process; this information can take many forms, including feedback from users, process metadata, system metrics and suggestions from employees. This information is used to prepare the evaluation report which outlines all the quality problems related to the specific statistical activity and serves as input for improvement actions.

Crop production supply balance sheets are compiled for crop year and livestock production supply balance sheets for calendar year.

Supply balance sheets of wine are published:

1 August to 31 July, preliminary data – 15 November for the last crop year.

1 August to 31 July, final data – 15 March for the year before last crop year.

Other supply balance sheets are published: cereals, fresh vegetables and fruits, berries, potatoes 230 days (T + 230), oleaginous seeds and fruits 257 days (T + 257), honey 232 days (T + 232), eggs 184 days (T + 184), meat and milk products 213 days (T + 213) after the end of the reference year.

SURVEY DATA

Data on the stock of agricultural products is collected with the survey. The sample includes 260 objects.

In order to collect supply data, an expert sample is drawn from enterprises who are active in the import or export of these products or whose main or secondary activity is the manufacture of agricultural products, food products and beverages; wholesale of agricultural products, food products and agricultural raw materials.

Data are collected and the submission of questionnaires is monitored through eSTAT (the web channel for electronic data submission). The questionnaires have been designed for independent completion in eSTAT and include instructions and controls. Data are collected with annual statistical questionnaires “Taimekasvatussaaduste ja -toodete varu”, “Loomakasvatussaaduste ja -toodete varu” ja “Põllumajandussaaduste ja -toodete varu. Viinamarjaveinid”.
