Average wages and salaries, 1st quarter 2008
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2008, the average monthly gross wages and salaries of full-time and part-time employees of enterprises, institutions and organisations were 12,337 kroons and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 74.74 kroonsa. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2007, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 19.5% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 20.5% higher. As at the end of the 1st quarter of 2008, the number of employees had increased by 1.3% compared to the same period of 2007.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2008 the percentage change in the producer price index was 0.8% compared to March 2008 and 7.2% compared to April 2007.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2008 8,900 purchase-sale transactions of real estate with the total value of 9.4 billion kroons were carried out.
