Request microdata for research
Legal persons and organisations can use for research microdata held by Statistics Estonia. The data can be used on a safe centre computer or remotely, depending on the nature of the data and contract conditions.
Submit an application (see below) for the use of microdata by sendind an e-mail to stat [at] stat.ee or send it by post to Tatari 51, 10134 Tallinn.

Term for review of application
Statistics Estonia will notify of the approval of the application within 15 work days. If the application cannot be approved because of insufficiencies in the data submitted, Statistics Estonia will contact the applicant within two work days in order to specify the details.
The use of microdata in a safe centre is free of charge; the user will only have to pay the cost of preparing the data.
Reserving a safe centre computer
For working with the data, safe centre computers are set up at Statistics Estonia. To use data at the safe centre, please reserve a time by sending an e-mail to teadlasearvuti [at] stat.ee or by calling +372 625 9345. When making the reservation, please provide the location (Tallinn or Tartu), date and time (beginning and end time).
- The safe centres are located in Statistics Estonia’s offices – Tatari 51 in Tallinn and in the UT Delta Centre at Narva mnt 20 in Tartu.
- The safe centres are available on work days from 9:00 to 16:00. A reservation for the following day should be sent by 12:00.
