Statistics Estonia is suspending interviewers’ home visits

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, Statistics Estonia is suspending interviewers’ home visits related to personal surveys and will collect data by phone or web interviews until the end of April.

Statistics Estonia is suspending interviewers’ home visits

Based on the recommendations of health organisations, Statistics Estonia is suspending until the end of April interviewers’ home visits for the following surveys:

  • Estonian Labour Force Survey;
  • trial survey for the new labour force survey;
  • Estonian Social Survey;
  • Household Budget Survey;
  • tourism survey.

For these surveys, Statistics Estonia will continue collecting data by phone of web interviews. Statistics Estonia is kindly asking people who have been selected to participate in the surveys to contribute to data collection and respond on the phone or online.

Statistics Estonia is also suspending until the end of April interviewers’ home visits for SHARE (Survey on Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe), Time Use Survey and Estonian Household Finance and Consumption Survey. Phone and web interviews are not used for these surveys.
