3	With the adoption of the euro as from 1 January 2011 the compilation methodology of analytical accounts of monetary financial institutions and central bank has changed. Due to that data comparison with previous periods is not feasible.
4	Reserve money consist of currency in circulation (euro coins and banknotes) and Bank of Estonia's liabilities to credit institutions. Item "currency in circulation" does not indicate actual amount of currency in country as this is calculated according to Capital Share Mechanism (CSM) used in Eurosystem - it means that 92% of banknotes issued in euro area is distributed among central banks belonging to Eurosystem according to their participation in European Central Bank capital.
5	Rates on short term government securities are not disseminated as there are no Treasury bills issued in Estonia; and rates on long term government securities are also not disseminated as they are issued only occasionally.
6	Starting from January 2000 the data on foreign trade have been presented by special trade system. This means that exports excludes re-exportation from customs warehouses and imports does not include imports of goods to customs warehouses, but exportation of goods from customs warehouses for inward procession or home use is considered imports. To enable the comparability of data, the data for the previous year have also been presented by special trade system.
7	With the adoption of the euro as from 1 January 2011, the Bank of Estonia has ceased to quote and publish the daily official exchange rates since the determination of the exchange rate of the euro against third currencies is the responsibility of the European Central Bank.
8	The population estimate for the latest period is based on the 2011 Population and Housing Census, and the estimate for the previous period is based on the 2000 census. The latest data may be revised.
