01.09.2010	Agricultural Census starts on 1 September According to Statistics Estonia, the Agricultural Census is conducted in Estonia from 1 September to 15 November, in the course of which the data on agricultural production will be collected from nearly 30,000 holdings. For the first time it is possible to participate in the census also via Internet.
	Employers as well as employees consider it important for employees to develop their skills and knowledge According to Statistics Estonia, in 2009 most of Estonian employers considered it important for employees to develop their skills and knowledge, but nearly a half of employees were not satisfied with possibilities of professional development offered by employers.
31.08.2010	In July the decrease in retail sales slowed down According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2010 compared to July of the previous year the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises decreased 1% at constant prices. The decrease of the retail sales in July was the smallest of the current year.
	Rapid increase of industrial production continued in July According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2010 the production of industrial enterprises grew 25% compared to July of the previous year.
30.08.2010	The decrease in the average monthly gross wages and salaries was replaced with the increase According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 12,869 kroons (822 euros) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 75.81 kroons (4.85 euros). Compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 1.2% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 1.7% lower.
