According to Statistics Estonia there were 2.6 million cinema visits in 2014, which is an all-time record since the restoration of independence. In the last nine years, cinema attendance has increased each year.
In the 1st quarter, the growth of the average monthly gross wages and salaries slowed down
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2015, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,010 euros. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2014, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 4.5%.

Emigration from Estonia decreased last year
According to Statistics Estonia, 4,637 persons emigrated from Estonia and 3,904 persons immigrated to Estonia in 2014. The volume of emigration was 30% smaller than in the previous three years.
In April, the producer price index of industrial output decreased
According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2015, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.6% compared to March 2015 and by -1,3% compared to April 2014.
The average monthly gross income continued to grow steadily last year
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2014, the average monthly gross income per employee was 954 euros. Compared to 2013, the average gross income increased 6%. The growth rate has been at this level for the last few years.
The uptrend in museum attendance continued
According to Statistics Estonia, there were 3.8 million museum visits in 2014, which is 15% more than the year before. The number of museum visits set a new record.
Working-age people are increasingly more active in the labour market
According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate was 6.6% and the employment rate was 63.3% in the 1st quarter of 2015. Compared to the first quarters of the previous years, the labour force participation rate was at the highest level of the last 15 years.
The economy grew in the 1st quarter
According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 1.2% in the 1st quarter of 2015 compared to the 1st quarter of 2014.
In March foreign trade increased
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2015, exports of goods increased by 3% and imports by 1% compared to March of the previous year. The increase in exports and imports was mostly influenced by a growth in the trade of electrical equipment and miscellaneous manufactured articles.
