According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2024, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 4% compared with the second quarter of 2023. On the domestic construction market, volume fell by 3%.

Production increased by 19.3% in mining and by 2.6% in electricity production but decreased by 7% in manufacturing.

Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that the biggest impact on the consumer price index in 2024 came from price increases related to food and non-alcoholic beverages, which accounted for 23.7% of the total index rise. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2012 exports of goods increased by 4% and imports by 9% compared to 2011. In 2012, the annual growth of exports and imports was slower than in the previous year when both exports and imports grew by 37%.
