Imports of goods

Imports is the movement of goods into Estonia for domestic consumption or for resale to other countries. Imports also includes temporary imports of goods for processing in Estonia with the obligation of re-export and re-imports after processing outside Estonia. Imports does not include transit or services.

Data on imports from EU countries are based on detailed data and estimates from other EU countries of their exports to Estonia. Estimates are published by 2-digit commodity code and partner country level. Data for other countries have been supplemented with administrative data where necessary. Data on imports from non-EU countries are based on customs declarations from the Tax and Customs Board.
