Industrial production grew by 4.5% in August
According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2026, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 4.5% at constant prices compared with August last year. Output increased in all three industrial sectors: by 25.3% in mining, by 56.9% in energy production and by 1.2% in manufacturing.
Stores selling manufactured goods were the main driver of the increased volume of retail trade turnover in August
According to Statistics Estonia, in August, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 974 million euros. Compared with August 2025, the volume of turnover increased by 6%, which was influenced the most by stores selling manufactured goods.
Confidence remains the highest in the retail trade sector and the lowest in construction
On 25 September, Statistics Estonia published the results of the business and consumer surveys for September. Compared with the previous month, confidence has improved slightly among retail trade and construction enterprises and has fallen a little in the services and industry sectors. Consumer confidence has remained at the same level as in August.
