According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 1.2% compared to August 2013 and by 4.9% compared to September 2012.
Following the peer review of Statistics Estonia last month, the peer review team has given first recommendations to Statistics Estonia. The feedback highlighted strong statistical legislation in Estonia, the agency’s role in data governance and consistent work to improve the quality of databases and questionnaires.
According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.5% compared to July 2013 and by 3.4% compared to August 2012.
According to the first estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia decreased by 16.1% in the 2nd quarter of 2009 compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The GDP decreased successively for six quarters.
According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2012 the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.6 % compared to July 2012 and by 2.2% compared to August of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2011 exports grew by 34% and imports by 45% compared to the same month of the previous year. The trade deficit increased also due to the bigger growth in imports than in exports.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March exports of goods from Estonia at current prices declined by one fifth and imports to Estonia by one third compared to March of the previous year. The decline in both exports and imports slowed down.
According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by –0.7% compared to September 2013 and by 4.2% compared to October 2012.
