The focus of the global goal “Climate Action” is to mitigating the impact from climate change and adapting to it. The average global temperature continues to rise and global sea ice is shrinking. According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2021, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 9% year on year. Production increased by 20% in energy production and by 8% in manufacturing, but decreased by 2% in mining.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2015, exports from Estonia amounted to 11.6 billion euros and imports to Estonia to 13.1 billion euros at current prices. Trade has been declining for the last three years but the biggest fall occurred in 2015.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2011 compared to the same month of the previous year, exports grew by 53% and imports by 44% at current prices. Due to a faster growth in exports compared to imports, also the foreign trade deficit decreased.
People’s mobility resembles that of the emergency situation last year

Commissioned by the Government of Estonia, Statistics Estonia, together with Telia, Tele2 and Elisa, are conducting mobility analysis based on anonymous data of the mobile networks. The first results show that the mobility of people has decreased as a result of the stricter restrictions introduced on 11 March and resembles that of the emergency situation period of last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2012, exports of goods from Estonia increased by 7% at current prices and imports to Estonia by 14% compared to June of the previous year. Faster growth in imports compared to exports increased also the trade deficit.
