According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2012, exports from Estonia amounted to 1.12 billion euros and imports to Estonia to 1.23 billion euros at current prices. In monthly basis, exports were larger only in May 2011; imports have never been as high before.

Exports is the exportation of goods produced in Estonia and exportation of goods imported from a foreign country. It includes temporary exportation of goods for the purpose of processing abroad, re-exportation after processing in Estonia and supplies for foreign vessels and aircraft. Exports does not include transit and services. Data on exports to EU countries are based on Intrastat questionnaires collected by Statistics Estonia, supplemented with estimates and administrative data. In November exports of goods exceeded imports

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2012, exports from Estonia amounted to 1.15 billion euros and imports to Estonia to 1.14 billion euros at current prices. The surplus was registered in trade as exports were bigger than imports by 15 million euros.

In January imports grew faster than exports

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2011 compared to the same month of the previous year, exports of goods grew by 57% and imports by 66% at current prices. The growth in imports was mainly influenced by the arrivals of machinery and equipment as well as transport equipment. Among partner countries Sweden ranked the first in both exports and imports.

In November, export of goods decreased

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2015, exports of goods decreased by 4% and imports stayed on the same level compared to November 2014. The decrease in exports was mostly influenced by a decrease in mineral products and electrical equipment.
