There were 8,363 job vacancies in the second quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2026, there were 8,363 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is nearly 2,000 job vacancies fewer than in the second quarter last year.

In July, industrial output started to grow

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2026, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 2.3% at constant prices compared with July last year. Output increased in all three industrial sectors: by 13.5% in mining, by 16% in energy production and by 1.1% in manufacturing.

HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.3% in August

According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in August 2026, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists, increased by 0.3% compared with July. Compared with August last year, the HICP rose by 1.3%. This is a flash estimate which will be refined once more detailed data on August prices are received.
