According to Statistics Estonia, accommodation establishments served 254,989 tourists in November 2025, which is 3% more than in the same month a year earlier. There were 7% more foreign tourists, but the number of domestic tourists did not increase.

The volume of retail trade turnover in November was unchanged year on year

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 907 million euros. Compared with November 2024, the volume of retail trade turnover remained at the same level.

The consumer price index rose by 4.8% last year

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2025, the consumer price index increased by 4.8% compared with the average of 2024. The price changes of food and non-alcoholic beverages had the biggest impact on the consumer price index in 2025.

Exports of goods were up by 3% and imports by 7% in November

According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2025, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 3% and imports by 7% compared with November 2024. Exports of goods amounted to over 1.6 billion euros and imports to more than 1.9 billion euros at current prices. Exports of goods of Estonian origin were down in November year on year.

The turnover growth of retail trade enterprises accelerated further in May

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2016 compared to May 2015, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased 8% at constant prices. While in April the turnover increased 6% compared to the same month of the previous year, in May the turnover growth accelerated further.

Lagle Sammelsaar wins the young statistician’s grant

The annual growth of the Dwelling Price Index was 2%

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2016, the Dwelling Price Index changed by -0.1% compared to the 4th quarter of 2015 and by 2% compared to the 1st quarter of 2015.

The producer price index of industrial output decreased in May

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.2% compared to April 2016 and by -1.8% compared to May 2015.

Last year, the cinema screenings of European films outnumbered those of American films for the first time

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 3.1 million cinema visits in Estonia in 2015, which is an all-time record since the restoration of independence. A record number of films were screened in Estonian cinemas, with the majority of the films being European ones for the first time.

According to Statistics Estonia, 226,000 domestic and foreign tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in April 2016, which was 8% more than in April 2015. The number of both domestic and foreign tourists increased.

According to the revised estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 1.7% in the 1st quarter of 2016 compared to the 1st quarter of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in May 2016 was 0.1% compared to April 2016 and -0.9% compared to May of the previous year.

The profit of the business sector decreased in the 1st quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2016, the total profit of the business sector was 521 million euros, which was 12% less than in the same period a year ago.

Statistics Estonia gave an overview of the preparations for the next population census

The next population and housing census in Estonia will, for the first time in Estonian history, take place on the basis of registers, i.e. no information is asked from people directly, the results are put together based on the data stored in state databases. This is what gave the census the name Register-Based Population and Housing Census (with the abbreviation REGREL in Estonian).
