The producer price index of industrial output expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for exports. Statistics Estonia updates the weights system of the producer price index of industrial output and the base prices used for its calculation every year. According to Statistics Estonia, in December 2014 compared to December 2013, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 6% at constant prices. Since August, the retail sales growth has remained within a stable of 5–6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2020, compared to February 2019, the exports of goods decreased by 6% and imports by 2%. Both exports and imports declined the most in respect of countries outside the European Union.
