According to Statistics Estonia, in December, the producer price index of industrial output fell by 0.9% compared to November and by 1.2% compared to December 2018.

According to Statistics Estonia, in December 2014 compared to December 2013, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 6% at constant prices. Since August, the retail sales growth has remained within a stable of 5–6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Healthy life years (also called disability-free life expectancy) shows the average number of years an individual is expected to live free of disability if current patterns of mortality and disability continue to apply. To calculate healthy life years, Statistics Estonia uses the internationally recommended Sullivan method, which is convenient as few data are needed. It requires the mean annual population for five-year periods by sex and age groups, the number of deaths and the share of people with good health in these age groups. According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2020, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 18% compared to May 2019. Production decreased in all three industrial activities: manufacturing, energy production and mining.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2020, compared to June 2019, the exports of goods remained at the same level and imports decreased by 8%. In the second quarter of 2020, exports decreased by 15% and imports by 18% year on year.

The crisis commission of the Government of the Republic issued an order to Statistics Estonia for the preparation of analytical output using anonymous data from electronic communications, with the purpose to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The goal is to launch the project this week.

The list of economic units is a helpful tool primarily for those respondents who are required to report in statistical questionnaires financial transactions or financial assets and liabilities broken down by customer or type of transaction, e.g. loans granted and deposits taken by credit institutions or lease claims of customers of leasing companies. The list of economic units is published once a year (in December) and includes economic units that have been economically active in at least one of the last three years. An exception is all financial sector units, which are included in the list
