What kind of survey is it? The Farm Structure Survey gives an overview of the state of agriculture in Estonia. This information is required for developing agricultural policies. The survey provides statistics on agricultural holdings that are comparable across the European Union (EU). Agriculture produces almost 100% of food, covers around 40% of the EU territory, and takes up about 30% of the EU budget. According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2024, the total production of industrial enterprises fell by 4.7% compared with April last year. Among the three main sectors, output increased by 3.6% in mining and by 10.1% in electricity production but decreased by 5.7% in manufacturing.
