Statistics Estonia, in co-operation with mobile network operators, analysed, based on anonymous mobile phone data, the mobility of people before and during the emergency situation. The project lasted from 20 February to 17 May 2020.

Construction volume fell by 6% last year

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2023, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 6% at constant prices compared with 2022. Considering only the domestic market, the fall in construction volume was 7%.

What economic activities have the largest turnover? Who invests the most? Financial statistics of enterprises help to assess how enterprises and the economy are doing in Estonia. Progressive enterprises increase productivity and break into international markets. They can offer more jobs and pay a more competitive salary. This has a positive impact primarily on working-age population in the areas where the successful enterprises operate, as well on the Estonian economy as a whole. Hunting

Hunting can regulate the abundance of animals, preserve the diversity and viability of species. It helps to make game resistant and less susceptible to disease and other threats. This in turn makes it possible to increase the social and economic importance of hunting in rural areas. Hunting statistics are compiled by the Environment Agency, which publishes the following data: game hunting by species and county; damage caused by game. Based on hunting statistics, it is possible to develop and monitor the field of hunting, assess progress towards national targets and conduct research.
