Today, on 11 January, Statistics Estonia presents its new publication Social Trends, which examines the coping, quality of life and well-being of households.
According to Statistics Estonia, the unemployment rate was 6.5% and the employment rate was 66.9% in the 2nd quarter of 2015. The number of persons active in the labour market exceeded 700,000 for the first time.
According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2016, domestic and foreign tourists who stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments numbered 267,000, which was 7% more than in October 2015.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2015, exports of goods decreased by 4% and imports stayed on the same level compared to November 2014. The decrease in exports was mostly influenced by a decrease in mineral products and electrical equipment.
Today, on 29 July, Statistics Estonia presents the publication "Eesti statistika aastaraamat. 2015. Statistical Yearbook of Estonia", which provides a statistical overview of life in Estonia and comparisons with other European Union countries.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2014, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 977 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 5.89 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2013, the average monthly gross wages increased by 5.0% and the average hourly gross wages by 5.6%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2016, the total profit of the business sector was 856 million euros, which was 4% less than in the same period a year before.
According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 0.7% in the 4th quarter of 2015 compared to the 4th quarter of 2014.
According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2016 compared to August 2015, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices. While in July, the turnover increased 2% compared to the same month of the previous year, then in August the growth accelerated to some extent.
