Milk production increased slightly

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, the production of milk amounted to 791,800 tonnes in 2017, which is 1% more than the year before. The number of dairy cows increased slightly by the end of the year and also the average annual milk production per cow increased.

This year, for the first time, Statistics Estonia distributed the deadlines of the EKOMAR questionnaire over a longer period and, depending on the economic activity of the enterprise, the deadline fell in the period of 1–8 July. According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2011 compared to the same month of the previous year, exports of goods grew by 23% and imports by 26% at current prices. The trade with Russia influenced the increase of exports as well as imports the most.
