According to Statistics Estonia, a child from the age of three up to the school age stays in the kindergarten for approximately 40 hours a week, which is one of the highest indicators of the European Union. In the European Union the children of the same age group are in the kindergarten on an average for 28 hours a week.

Statistics Estonia organises free training sessions for both users of statistics and data providers: individuals and representatives of institutions, enterprises and organisations. The training sessions take place virtually in Microsoft Teams, at Statistics Estonia or at client location. You can place an order for a training session, if there are at least ten participants.

Competition to find enumerators extended in three counties

Statistics Estonia has extended the application period for enumerator jobs until 28 November in Tallinn, Harju county, Tartu county and Ida-Viru county where there have not been enough applicants. Over 6,900 applications in total have been submitted to the competition.

The focus of the global goal “Quality Education” is accessibility of quality education and opportunities to participate in lifelong learning. Going to school, levels of education, teachers’ education, educational institutions’ compliance with requirements (incl. sanitary) and differences in study results are observed together. The 2030 Agenda sets the target to ensure free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education for all.
