According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2024, exports of goods increased by 3% and imports by 6% compared with April 2023. Exports of goods amounted to more than €1.5 billion and imports to over €1.8 billion at current prices. The trade deficit was €305 million, which is €65 million more than in April last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, the pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (REL 2011) will take place in nine local governments of Estonia from 31 December until 31 March. According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2012, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 3% compared to August of the previous year. The decline in the production was most of all influenced by the manufacturing of electronic and metal products.

In 2017, the social protection field was mostly characterised by growth trends: the average old-age pension exceeded 400 euros, labour market measures are being used more and there is a greater variety of them, the expenditure on family allowances increased and new allowances for large families were added. The number of old-age pensioners and subsistence benefit recipients has declined.

According to Statistics Estonia, in January, compared to January 2017, the exports of goods increased by 9% and imports decreased by 8%. The growth in exports was broad‑based, increase occurred in most commodity sections.
