Statistics Estonia presents today, i.e. on 31 July, the newly published publication “Eesti statistika aastaraamat. 2009. Statistical Yearbook of Estonia“, which gives an overview of the Estonian environment, social and economic life and provides comparisons with other European countries.

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the third quarter of 2023, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 1% and imports by 3% at current prices compared with the same quarter of 2022. Sales of services to non-residents totalled 2.8 billion euros and purchases of services from non-residents amounted to 2.2 billion euros. The balance of foreign trade in services was in surplus by 557 million euros.

Exports of goods amounted to over €1.4 billion and imports to nearly €1.7 billion at current prices. The trade deficit was €264 million, which is €63 million higher than in August last year. Allan Aron, foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that the last time exports of goods declined year on year was in August 2024. “The decrease in exports in August 2025 was mostly influenced by a fall in exports to countries outside the European Union. Today, on 29 July, Statistics Estonia presents the publication "Eesti statistika aastaraamat. 2015. Statistical Yearbook of Estonia", which provides a statistical overview of life in Estonia and comparisons with other European Union countries.

In 2012, Statistics Estonia will collect the data from nearly 40,000 economic units. From now on, it is possible to check on the web site of Statistics Estonia whether the economic unit has been picked into the sample and has an obligation to submit the data.
