Statistics Estonia wishes to make the transmission and reporting of data more automatic in order to decrease the data submission burden of enterprises. We have prepared guidelines for those who wish to start using the statistical database API or to use their business software for data-based reporting, a project created to decrease the administrative burden by enabling automatic data exchange.

According to Statistics Estonia, in August, 331,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments. Their total number of nights spent was 591,000. Compared to August 2019, the number of tourists dropped by a third.

Increased imports led to a higher trade deficit in February

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 18% and imports by 35% compared to February 2021. The rise in imports was significantly influenced by the greater imports of electricity and mineral fuels.
