The focus of the global goal “Gender Equality” is basic rights of women and girls and gender equality. In order to achieve the goal, it is important to contribute more, including establish legal frameworks to help reduce gender discrimination and change attitudes and social norms. The 2030 Agenda lays down ending gender inequality affecting women and girls, ending abuse against them and empowering them. The goal is to end the discrimination of women and girls as well as violence against them. It is essential to ensure that women have equal opportunities to participate at all levels of decision

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, there were 174 museums in Estonia with 229 museum sites. The number of museum visits was nearly 1.7 million, which is 59,000 fewer than in 2020 and the lowest in the past 18 years.

What kind of survey is it? The internet use and digital skills survey assesses how and for what purpose people in Estonia use computers and the internet. Who commissions the survey? The internet use and digital skills survey is conducted using the questionnaire and harmonised methodology developed by Eurostat, which ensures comparability of the results for different European Union (EU) countries. According to Statistics Estonia, the total production of industrial enterprises in 2021 was 6.4% bigger than the year before. Of the three main industrial sectors, production increased by 19.2% in energy production and by 6.4% in manufacturing but decreased by 15.7% in mining.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the academic year 2020/2021, international students and graduates in Estonia paid more than ever before in labour taxes: a total of 16 million euros. At the same time, the number of international students was smaller, while the number of international graduates continued to rise. International students and graduates were most likely to work in information and communication as well as in education. Compared to local students, they worked more often in start-up enterprises.
