The producer price index of industrial output increased in June

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.6% compared to May 2016 and by -1.4% compared to June 2015.

In June, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by an increase in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, in the manufacture of fuel oils and wood products, but also by a decrease in prices in the manufacture of metal products and chemicals and in mining.

Compared to June 2015, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in mining and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products and food products, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply.

In June 2016, the export price index changed by 1.3% compared to May 2016 and by -1.6% compared to June 2015.

In June, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, oil products and forestry products increased more than average, while the prices of peat products, beverages and textiles decreased more than average.

In June 2016, the import price index changed by 1.2% compared to May 2016 and by -3.2% compared to June 2015.

In June, compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, oil products and chemical products increased more than average, while the prices of agricultural products, building materials and paper and paper products decreased more than average.
