The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, increased by 0.2% in November 2025 compared with October and by 1.1% compared with November last year.

Germo Valgenberg, leading analyst in the producer price statistics team at Statistics Estonia, said that, year on year, the producer price index rose for the third month in a row. “The rise in November was slightly bigger than in October and September,” he noted.

“Compared with November 2024, the index was most affected by price increases in electricity and heat energy production and in the manufacture of wood and wood products, peat products and crushed stone,” said Valgenberg. Falling prices in the manufacture of fuel oils, textiles and basic metals had the opposite effect on the index. Producer prices rose by 0.2% year on year in manufacturing as a whole. In the manufacture of food products, prices were up by 1.5%.

Compared with October, the producer price index in November was primarily affected by price increases in electricity production. The index was also influenced by falling prices in the manufacture of wood products, dairy products and building materials.

In November, the export price index was down by 0.1% compared with October. The greatest decreases were registered in the prices of rubber and plastic products, leather products and footwear, agricultural products, and chemicals and chemical products. The biggest increases occurred in the prices of electricity, petroleum products, and basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations. Compared with November 2024, the export price index was up by 1.9%.

The import price index rose by 0.5% in November compared with October. The largest increases were seen in the prices of electricity, metals and beverages. The biggest decreases were recorded for leather products and footwear, wood products, paper and paper products, and in mining and quarrying. Compared with November last year, the import price index was up by 1%
