Retail trade volume up by 2% in March
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2025, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 879 million euros. Compared with March 2024, the volume of retail trade turnover increased by 2%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2024, the gross hourly wages and salaries of female employees were 13.2% smaller than the hourly wages of male employees. Year on year, the gender pay gap widened by 0.1 percentage points.

According to Statistics Estonia, on 1 January 2025, the population of Estonia stood at 1,369,995. There were 9,690 births and 15,756 deaths in Estonia last year.
The rise in construction prices in the first quarter was curbed by the lower cost of materials
According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2025, the construction price index increased by 0.1% compared with the fourth quarter of 2024 and by 1.2% compared with the first quarter of 2024.
Higher prices of wood products had the biggest impact on the producer price index in March
The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 3.5% in March 2025 compared with February and rose by 2.8% compared with March last year.
Estonia produced 189.5 million eggs last year, one in two eggs eaten is locally produced
According to Statistics Estonia, 189.5 million eggs were produced in Estonia in 2024, which is 6% more than the year before. The average annual egg production was 138 eggs per person. Including imported eggs, 16.2 kg or 259 eggs per person were consumed during the year.
