According to Statistics Estonia, the preliminary results of the Farm Structure Survey 2016 indicate that there were 16,700 agricultural holdings with at least one hectare of agricultural area or agricultural holdings mainly producing for sale in Estonia, which is approximately 2,500 holdings less than three years ago.

According to Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia in 2013 increased 0.8% compared to the previous year. In the 4th quarter of 2013, the Estonian economy grew 0.3% compared to the 4th quarter of 2012.
Statistics Estonia: Enumerators will start visiting people from 16 February

The enumerators will visit people in the Population and Housing Census starting at the end of the year only during the period 16.02 – 31.03.2012 and present their employment certificate with a photo issued by Statistics Estonia. 83% of Estonia’s inhabitants are aware of the upcoming Population and Housing Census, revealed a survey conducted by the research agency Faktum & Ariko. The majority of the respondents believed that the Census was necessary.

Statistics Estonia finished the last Pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census, where during 11 days the conduct of the whole Census was tested. Over 300 employees of Statistics Estonia and volunteers participated in the test.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2010 exports of goods from Estonia amounted to 8.75 billion euros at current prices and imports to Estonia made up 9.27 billion euros. Last year exports of goods exceeded the highest level so far (the level of 2008) where the turnover of exports amounted to 8.47 billion euros.
