According to Statistics Estonia, in December 2018, the change of the producer price index of industrial output was -0.6% compared to November and 1.6% compared to December 2017.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2019, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 2% compared to March 2018. Production increased in manufacturing, but decreased in energy and mining.

This year, the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s grant was awarded to Papuna Gogoladze for the master’s thesis defended at the School of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Tartu. The aim of the grant is to motivate young people to apply and develop statistical methods.

Statistic Estonia and Garage48 organise the first data visualisation hackathon in Estonia, to be held on 9–10 May at Palo Alto Club in Tallinn. The winning team will be awarded 3,000 euros and the next two teams 1,000 euros.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2019, a total of 322,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which is 6% more than in May 2018. There were more domestic and foreign tourists.
