According to Statistics Estonia, the most active practitioners of amateur cultural activities in Estonia are the 10–24-year-old young people, among whom singing is the most popular activity.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2012, 2.8 million domestic and foreign tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments, which is 4% more than the year earlier. Compared to 2011, the number of foreign tourists increased by 4% and the number of domestic tourists by 5%.
According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 1.3% in the 2nd quarter of 2013 compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

Statistics Estonia has extended the application period for enumerator jobs until 28 November in Tallinn, Harju county, Tartu county and Ida-Viru county where there have not been enough applicants. Over 6,900 applications in total have been submitted to the competition.
According to Statistics Estonia, more than 4,000 persons have already expressed their wish to work for the 2011 Population and Housing Census. Large-scale job competitions will be announced this autumn.
