According to Statistics Estonia, 3.8 million tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments in 2019. The total number of nights spent was 7 million. 59% were foreign tourists and 41% were domestic tourists.

According to Statistics Estonia, 223,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments in January. Their total number of nights spent was 411,000. 58% of the tourists were foreign tourists and 42% were domestic tourists.

According to Statistics Estonia, 21.7% of the Estonian population lived at risk of poverty and 2.4% lived in absolute poverty in 2018.
