From 16–18 June the expert group of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will be visiting Statistics Estonia in order to elaborate the report estimating the ability of Estonia to meet the statistical requirements for joining the OECD.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2015 the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.0 billion euros, which is 5% less than in 2014. The construction volumes have decreased for two years in a row.

The EKOMAR questionnaire has been designed to obtain more detailed data on the financial indicators of enterprises in order to assess Estonia's economic growth and prepare business overviews. The reference period for the EKOMAR questionnaire is a calendar year . In order to facilitate completion, the questionnaire is designed to be as similar as possible to the annual report. The annual report (AR) filed with the Business Register is one of the most important datasets used in the production of statistics. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 6%. The construction volumes have decreased for two years in a row.
A fifth of the residents of Estonia live in relative poverty

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2007 19.5% of the Estonian population lived in relative poverty, a similar amount to the previous year. The difference in income between the poorest and richest fifth of the population was fivefold, leaving Estonia persistently in the top ten of the poorest countries in Europe.
Production decreased in most manufacturing activities

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2020, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 5% compared to August 2019. Production decreased in manufacturing but increased in energy and mining.
