How did the Estonian society respond to the measures implemented during the emergency situation? Did people stay more local? Statistics Estonia, in co-operation with mobile network operators, analysed, based on anonymous mobile phone data, the mobility of people before and during the emergency situation. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,201 euros, having increased 7.4% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016. The year-over-year growth in wages and salaries accelerated for the second consecutive quarter.

According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2021, Estonian accommodation establishments served over 227,000 tourists, which is 44% more than in the same month last year. The numbers of domestic tourists and foreign tourists both increased.
