According to Statistics Estonia, in 2009 the average income of population decreased and the unemployment increased due to the economic crisis, but increased pensions and governmental benefits helped people to prevent the fall in poverty.

In the 3rd quarter, the year-over-year increase in average monthly gross wages was 5%

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2014, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 977 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 5.89 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2013, the average monthly gross wages increased by 5.0% and the average hourly gross wages by 5.6%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2018, the exports of goods increased by 15% and imports by 13% compared to February 2017. There was significant growth in exports to non-EU countries, mineral products (fuels and fuel additives) were exported the most.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2015, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,045 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2014, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 6.9%, and compared to the 2nd quarter of 2015, the average monthly gross wages and salaries decreased by 3.4%.
