Supply of enterprises The publication of short-term statistics of enterprises ended in March 2024. . The interactive charts provide an overview of the situation of enterprises on the basis of VAT returns. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2014, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,005 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 6.14 euros. Compared to 2013, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 5.9% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries by 7.2%.

According to Statistics Estonia*, 93.2% of households in Estonia have an internet connection at home. The number of households with an internet connection has increased by 13,000 compared with the previous year, when there were 533,300 such households. There are also more users of e-commerce.

The aim of experimental statistics is to seek new ways of producing statistics that would allow users quick and convenient access to relevant and necessary information.
To produce experimental statistics we use:
- data linking and combining;
- new data sources (e.g. electricity consumption data of Elering, data of mobile network operators);
- new methods (e.g. web scraping, machine learning);
- modern visualisation solutions (e.g. R Shiny and Flourish).
The output of experimental statistics may diverge from the traditional requirements of official statistics such as harmonisation, coverage

Lowest unemployment rate of the century in the 3rd quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter, the unemployment rate was 3.9%, the labour force participation rate was 71.9% and the employment rate was 69%. The estimated number of employed persons was 677,300, which is 10,700 more than in the same quarter of the previous year. The number of long-term unemployed also declined.
