While the foreign trade declined in February and March compared to the previous year, then as of April, the trade increased. The increase in trade was mainly influenced by machinery and equipment.

In the first half-year of this year, the decrease in exports and imports was mostly influenced by a fall in the trade of electrical equipment and transport equipment.

Exports to the euro area countries comprised 29% of Estonia’s total exports and imports from euro area 38% of total imports.

The increase in exports and imports was mostly influenced by the trade of electrical equipment and raw materials and products of chemical industry. Over the nine months of 2014, exports and imports declined by 3% compared to the same period of 2013.
