Eveli Šokman, team lead of producer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that, compared with April 2024, the producer price index was most affected by price increases in the manufacture of wood and wood products, in electricity and heat energy production, and in the manufacture of food products. “Falling prices in the manufacture of fuel oils and paper and paper products had the opposite effect on the index. The recognition of best infographic was given to " Õendustöötajate ambulatoorsed vastuvõtud ja koduvisiidid" ("Out-patient consultations and home visits of nursing staff"). According to Statistics Estonia, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,904 euros, which is 9.7% higher than in the same quarter the year before. In 2023 as a whole, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,832 euros, up by 11.3% compared with 2022. The median monthly gross wages were 1,578 euros in the fourth quarter of 2023 and 1,501 euros in 2023 overall.
