According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the first quarter of 2023, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 15% and imports by 11% at current prices compared with the first quarter of 2022.

According to Statistics Estonia, in August, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to 1.5 billion and imports to 1.8 billion euros. Compared with the same month in 2022, exports of goods decreased by 22% and imports by 19% at current prices. The trade deficit in in August was 293 million euros, which is 7 million euros less than a year earlier.

The experts will evaluate the production of official statistics in Estonia against the quality requirements of Eurostat (the statistical office of the European Union) and against the European Statistics Code of Practice.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2023, there were 12,040 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is 8.7% less than in the same quarter last year. A little under 6,000 persons left their job at the initiative of the employer.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2023, Estonia’s exports of goods decreased by 15% and imports by 13% at current prices compared with May 2022. Exports of goods amounted to 1.6 billion and imports to 1.9 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 309 million euros, which is 12 million euros more than in May last year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the fourth quarter of 2023, there were 9,199 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is 18.5% less than in the same quarter last year. A little over 7,000 persons left their job at the initiative of the employer.
