Jane Leppmets, a foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, noted that growth in foreign trade in services was most affected by travel services and other business services. “In the third quarter, exports of services to EU countries increased by 8% and imports from EU countries by 4%. Extra-EU exports of services were also up by 8%, however, extra-EU imports were down by 4%. According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2021, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,473 euros. Highest were in Harju and Tartu counties, in information and communication, financial and insurance activities and the energy sector.

Statistics Estonia's short-term labour market statistics show that over the past year and a half, there have been fewer young people aged 20–29 working in both the broader information and communication sector and the more specific field of computer programming. While in previous years the field of computer programming was growing mainly because of young people, in the past year their numbers have fallen.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, the Dwelling Price Index increased by 6% compared to the average of 2019. In the fourth quarter of 2020, it rose by 4.8% compared to the same quarter of 2019.
